I love the Macalester campus. It's one of my favorite things about the school. There are so many different places where you can hang out, or study, or have a good time. It's nice that it's in the city because you kind of you get all the benefits of being in a city being able to walk wherever you want. You can take public transportation, but then also, it's not as overwhelming as being downtown in a really big city.
It's a really calm neighborhood. One thing I really love about Macalester is the size both physically, and the number of students. Everything on campus is walkable, which I love. My first year I always was arriving really early to classes because I thought I needed 10 minutes to get somewhere when it took me two minutes to get there. I really like going to the library-- I love the library.
I usually hang out like in the IDEA Lab, which is like an the kind of like the arts and crafts center, but they also have like spaces just for studying. Besides that, I just I like the trees. I especially like walking like right between the library and Old Main. There's also like the art store, which is like really close and I can just walk there whenever I just need something. I really love living here.
